intentional tuned-in connected collaborative story-obsesed kid-fluent Parents Who Finally Get It

The most curious, most observant, most done-with-the-"ok" parents on the planet to protect and raise kids who know their mess means something.

It started with Grief

In 2014, my cat Oscar went missing on a ferry.

I wrote his story to process the loss. Then something unexpected happened.

Kids didn't just love the story. They started telling me their stories. About scary things. Confusing things. Big feelings they didn't have words for yet.

I realized: kids tell you who they are through what they create, not what they say.

So after 20 years working with children across Kenya, Italy, Germany, the US, and London—teaching in primary schools, writing 18 award-winning books, watching thousands of kids communicate through color and chaos—I built this community.

WHO WE ARE

We're in the
trenches
too

We've saved every scribble. Felt guilty tossing painting #47. Had the "wait, should I be worried?" moment at 2am. We get it because we've been there.

Just parents helping parents figure out what that drawing actually means. We'll tell you when we don't know.

Because honest beats polished every time.

We're here for the forty-seven dragons, the chaos paintings, the stories that make zero sense to you but total sense to them.

Through 18 books, I've funded 18 charities.

This month, every first payment supports Tiny Tickers (UK Charity No. 1155135)—detecting heart defects in babies before birth.

Since 2015: Over 2,500 babies identified. Families given time to prepare.

READY TO SEE IT?

Stop guessing. Start understanding

Forget perfect projects and Pinterest boards.

This is about seeing what your kid is actually telling you—the patterns, the repetitions, the colors that show up when they're processing something big.

Confident kids aren't built with more art supplies.

They're built with parents who see them, get them, and respond with curiosity instead of guesswork.
